Dr. Lawrence Rome—Founder and Chief Scientific Officer
Larry received his A.B. from Dartmouth College and PhD in Biology from Harvard University. He did his postdocs in the UK and Harvard Medical School, took his first faculty position at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) and then moved to the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 where he is a Professor of Biology. Throughout this period Rome has also been a Whitman Investigator at the Marine Biological Lab in Woods Hole, MA. Rome's focus is muscle mechanics and energetics, and he specializes in fish muscle, locomotion and sound production.
Sean recieved his bachelors and master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He specializes in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing.
Sean McIntosh—Director of Eningeering
Shawn attended UNC Charlotte American Military University. He is a former Marine Staff Sgt with nine years of experience in Force Recon in both 2nd and 5th Force Reconnaissance Company.
Shawn Carmody—Product Development Manager
Steve is a consultant that specializes in helping consumer good technology companies turn R&D into commercialized profit. As the CEO of Asius Technologies, LLC, he helped the company win more than $1M in research grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Health and provide the overall strategy of the company regarding product development, licensing and 2013 product launch. He was instrumental in the company's selection and success as one of the Wall Street Journal's "Top 24 Startups of 2013."
